The Throwleigh Conservation Area covers about 3.1 hectares and was designated by Dartmoor National Park in 1974. Inside the boundary are 19 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary the Virgin, Grade I.
