About the South Zeal Conservation Area
The South Zeal Conservation Area covers about 29 hectares and was designated by Dartmoor National Park in 1973. Inside the boundary are 21 listed buildings (5 Grade II*, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Chapel of St Mary Including Boundary Walls Adjoining to North West, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
