The Churchtown Conservation Area covers about 15 hectares and was designated by Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 64 listed buildings, all Grade II. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
