The Grendon Underwood Conservation Area covers about 6.6 hectares and was designated by Buckinghamshire Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 14 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 12 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Leonard, Grade II*. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
