The High Easter Conservation Area covers about 9.7 hectares and was designated by Uttlesford District Council in 2013. Inside the boundary are 18 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 15 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Mary, Grade I. 26 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
