The Ormesby Hall Conservation Area covers about 146 hectares and was designated by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in 1971. Inside the boundary are 19 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Ormesby Hall, Adjoining Outbuildings and Screen Walls, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
