The Woolton Village Conservation Area covers about 77 hectares and was designated by Liverpool City Council in 1996. Inside the boundary are 80 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 77 Grade II). The most significant is Woolton Hall, Grade I. 16 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. 34 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
