About the Mossley Hill Conservation Area
The Mossley Hill Conservation Area covers about 95 hectares and was designated by Liverpool City Council in 1996. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Matthew and St James, Grade II*. 20 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. 44 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
