The Hickleton Conservation Area covers about 21 hectares and was designated by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 27 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 23 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Wilfrid, Grade I. 57 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
