The Bawtry Conservation Area covers about 20 hectares and was designated by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 41 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 39 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Nicholas, Grade I. 12 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
