The Gloucester Street And River Walk Conservation Area covers about 17 hectares and was designated by Cotswold District Council in 2008. Inside the boundary are 55 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 5 Grade II*, 49 Grade II). The most significant is Hospital of St John, Grade I. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
