The GARLINGE GREEN, KENFIELD AND SWARLING ( PETHAM ) Conservation Area covers about 182 hectares and was designated by Canterbury City Council in 1994. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Kenfield Hall, Grade II*. 9 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. 133 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
