The Freshford Conservation Area covers about 28 hectares and was designated by Bath and North East Somerset Council in 1975. Inside the boundary are 48 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 45 Grade II). The most significant is Freshford Manor, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
