The Maulds Meaburn Conservation Area covers about 92 hectares and was designated by Yorkshire Dales National Park in 1969. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (4 Grade II*, 11 Grade II). The most significant is 2 Summer Houses on Bowling Green Immediately to South of Maulds Meaburn Hall, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
