The Ripe Conservation Area covers about 59 hectares and was designated by Wealden District Council in 2017. Inside the boundary are 18 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 4 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is The Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
