The Ardington and East Lockinge Conservation Area covers about 34 hectares and was designated by Vale of White Horse District Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 17 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 15 Grade II). The most significant is Ardington House, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
