The Rickling And Quendon Conservation Area covers about 25 hectares and was designated by Uttlesford District Council in 2015. Inside the boundary are 33 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 31 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Simon and St Jude, Grade II*. 4 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
