The Glastonbury Conservation Area covers about 113 hectares and was designated by Somerset Council in 1976. Inside the boundary are 143 listed buildings (8 Grade I, 8 Grade II*, 127 Grade II). The most significant is Abbey Tithe Barn, Including Attached Wall to East, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
