The Much Wenlock Conservation Area covers about 36 hectares and was designated by Shropshire Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 87 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 5 Grade II*, 79 Grade II). The most significant is Church of Holy Trinity, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
