About the Longthorpe Conservation Area
The Longthorpe Conservation Area covers about 50 hectares and was designated by Peterborough City Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 22 listed buildings (6 Grade I, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Former Stables to Thorpe Hall, Grade I. 167 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
