About the Castor Conservation Area
The Castor Conservation Area covers about 27 hectares and was designated by Peterborough City Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 60 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 56 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Kyneburgha, Grade I. 13 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
