About the Barnack Conservation Area
The Barnack Conservation Area covers about 50 hectares and was designated by Peterborough City Council in 1975. Inside the boundary are 60 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 57 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St John the Baptist, Grade I. 42 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. 45 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
