The Rock Conservation Area covers about 18 hectares and was designated by Northumberland County Council in 2007. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Church of Saints Philip and James, Grade II*. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
