The Eglingham Conservation Area covers about 44 hectares and was designated by Northumberland County Council in 1976. Inside the boundary are 22 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 20 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Maurice, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
