The Plompton Conservation Area covers about 67 hectares and was designated by North Yorkshire Council in 1993. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is Plompton Hall and Flanking Walls, Grade II*.
