The Walsingham Conservation Area covers about 215 hectares and was designated by North Norfolk District Council in 1974. Inside the boundary are 164 listed buildings (7 Grade I, 21 Grade II*, 136 Grade II). The most significant is Church of All Saints and St Peter, Grade I. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
