About the Great Snoring Conservation Area
The Great Snoring Conservation Area covers about 18 hectares and was designated by North Norfolk District Council in 1974. Inside the boundary are 19 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 16 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary, Grade I. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
