The Ilfracombe Conservation Area covers about 77 hectares and was designated by North Devon District Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 120 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 116 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of Holy Trinity, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
