About the ROTHWELL Conservation Area
The ROTHWELL Conservation Area covers about 70 hectares and was designated by Leeds City Council in 1976. Inside the boundary are 10 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 9 Grade II). The most significant is 32, 34 and 36, Commercial Street, Grade II*. 25 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
