About the Heysham Conservation Area
The Heysham Conservation Area covers about 10 hectares and was designated by Lancaster City Council in 1972. Inside the boundary are 18 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 15 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Peter, Grade I. 2 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
