The CASTLE RISING Conservation Area covers about 37 hectares and was designated by Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk in 1979. Inside the boundary are 11 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 7 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Lawrence, Grade I. 9 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
