The Mitcheldean Conservation Area covers about 8.9 hectares and was designated by Forest of Dean District Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Michael and All Angels, Grade I. 7 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
