The Lydney Conservation Area covers about 15 hectares and was designated by Forest of Dean District Council in 2005. Inside the boundary are 47 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 3 Grade II*, 43 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Mary, Grade I. 1 Tree Preservation Order record overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
