The Chalk Lane Conservation Area covers about 18 hectares and was designated by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council in 2010. Inside the boundary are 35 listed buildings (6 Grade II*, 29 Grade II). The most significant is Gates to the Durdans on Chalk Lane, Grade II*. 22 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
