The North Lowestoft Conservation Area covers about 37 hectares and was designated by East Suffolk Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 53 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 52 Grade II). The most significant is 36, High Street, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
