The Burton Agnes Conservation Area covers about 25 hectares and was designated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in 1974. Inside the boundary are 20 listed buildings (5 Grade I, 15 Grade II). The most significant is Burton Agnes Hall, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
