The Beverley Minster Area Conservation Area covers about 24 hectares and was designated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in 2013. Inside the boundary are 83 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 6 Grade II*, 76 Grade II). The most significant is The Minster Church of St John, Grade I. 7 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
