The Tilmanstone Conservation Area covers about 37 hectares and was designated by Dover District Council in 1989. Inside the boundary are 19 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 17 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Andrew, Grade I. 18 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
