The Cattistock Conservation Area covers about 25 hectares and was designated by Dorset Council in 1977. Inside the boundary are 21 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 20 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
