The Bothenhampton Conservation Area 1 Conservation Area covers about 6.9 hectares and was designated by Dorset Council in 1990. Inside the boundary are 15 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 13 Grade II). The most significant is Old Holy Trinity Church, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
