About the Bridport Conservation Area 1 Conservation Area
The Bridport Conservation Area 1 Conservation Area covers about 50 hectares and was designated by Dorset Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 300 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 13 Grade II*, 285 Grade II). The most significant is Parish Church of St Mary, Grade I. 2 Article 4 directions over the area remove further householder rights, on top of the conservation area limits below. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
