The Owston Conservation Area covers about 42 hectares and was designated by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in 1970. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 14 Grade II). The most significant is Church of All Saints, Grade I.
