The Piercebridge Conservation Area covers about 17 hectares and was designated by Darlington Borough Council in 1972. Inside the boundary are 11 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 8 Grade II). The most significant is Medieval Chapel Ruins on Roman Foundations in Rear Garden of Bath House, Tees View, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
