About the Wetheral Conservation Area
The Wetheral Conservation Area covers about 27 hectares and was designated by Cumberland Council in 1977. Inside the boundary are 20 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 1 Grade II*, 17 Grade II). The most significant is Walls of East Range of Wetheral Priory, East of Gatehouse, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
