The ST IVES Conservation Area covers about 20 hectares and was designated by Cornwall Council in 1968. Inside the boundary are 150 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 147 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Ia, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
