The Peoples Park Conservation Area covers about 21 hectares and was designated by Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council in 1981. Inside the boundary are 26 listed buildings (10 Grade II*, 16 Grade II). The most significant is 6 Cast Iron Urns on Pedestals to Terrace in People's Park, Grade II*. 27 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
