About the Bower Ashton Conservation Area
The Bower Ashton Conservation Area covers about 60 hectares and was designated by Bristol City Council in 1981. Inside the boundary are 9 listed buildings (1 Grade II*, 8 Grade II). The most significant is Lower Lodge to Ashton Court and Attached Gates, Railings and Bollards, Grade II*. 3 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
