The Kelston Conservation Area covers about 97 hectares and was designated by Bath and North East Somerset Council in 1981. Inside the boundary are 35 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 33 Grade II). The most significant is Dovecote, To South West of St Nicholas' Church, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
