The Whitchurch Conservation Area covers about 55 hectares and was designated by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in 1978. Inside the boundary are 51 listed buildings (3 Grade II*, 48 Grade II). The most significant is Church of All Hallows, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
