The Littondale barns and walls Conservation Area covers about 2,519 hectares and was designated by Yorkshire Dales National Park in 1994. Inside the boundary are 58 listed buildings, all Grade II. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
